Parents Association Fundraising Walk 2022
The Parents Association Committee held a Sponsored Walk, their biggest fundraising event since 2019 on Sunday May 8th in Donadea Forest Park. It was wonderful to see the large number of families who attended on the day and made the event a truly memorable one for the children. The glorious sunshine contributed to the wonderful atmosphere.
After the 2.5 km route was completed, the children were delighted to receive some welcome refreshments and the No Homework Pass from Ms Hennessy.
A major highlight of the sponsored walk is the Grand Prize Raffle Draw. The Parents Association Committee had done an amazing job in securing fantastic raffle prizes from local businesses which included Condron’s Supervalu, Batrye, Il Fontana, Marcaris, Westgrove Hotel, TechCreate, Faddens Pharmacy, Pot and Pantry, Flowerz by Amanda, Cecily Marron Beauty, Clancy’s Pharmacy, Shaws Department Store, Careplus Pharmacy, Izubee Personalised Gifts, Bob & Kates, Marrons Pharmacy, Hughes Pharmacy, Diamonds & Pearls, Maiden Jewels, The Hair Studio, PJ Wallace Cycles, Enzo’s, Motion Physio and Londis. The Parents Association are extremely grateful to all of these local businesses for their support in these post-Covid times. On the day of the walk, there was great excitement as the 29 raffle prize winners were announced!
The Parents Association Committee would also like to thank the parents and children of Scoil Bhríde for the stalwart efforts made in returning the sponsor cards and raising a current total of €9659.80. In addition to funding PA events for the coming year, a generous donation will be made by the Parents Association Committee to Scoil Bhríde for the development of the School Garden Project which will directly benefit the children attending Scoil Bhríde both now and in the coming years.
