We were delighted to receive the Cumann na mBunscol Large School of the year award at their AGM in Lawlor's Hotel Naas on the 28th of November. We are extremely proud that we are the first ever all girls school to win this award.  We visited all the classes to show them the award.

A big thank you to all the staff involved - those who volunteer their time to coach the girls, those who organise the buses to matches and those who provide cover to classes when teachers have to attend matches. Thank you to our wonderful girls who work so hard in training and  during matches. They are a credit to their parents, the school and their club.

I'd also like to acknowledge the great support we receive from Clane GAA with both hurling and camogie coaching in our school.

This is a fantastic achievement for our whole school community.  We are so proud of our school.

Inspiration and Celebration!

On Wednesday the 15th of November we held a special medal ceremony to celebrate our Gaelic Football and Camogie Winning Teams.

Special guest on the day was Niamh Whiteley, Niamh is a senior ladies football player in Clane and she is teaching in Scoil Mhuire. She is a past pupil of Scoil Bhríde who also won the Cuman na mBunscol when she was in school here with us and is an inspiration for all the girls who love to play sports.

U13 Cuman na mBunscoil Camogie winners

The Scoil Bhríde u13 Camogie team defeated Sallins by two points in the Division 1 final. It was an extremely close game with two great teams up against each other. It was a goal in the second half which was all that separated the teams. The girls had to battle hard and managed to hold off Sallins and protect their lead until the final whistle.

Everyone here in Scoil Bhríde is very proud of their achievements. Not only are they champions, they are a fantastic group of girls who we wish every success in the future.
