The girls created "Picasso inspired" Easter bunnies

and went on an Easter Egg hunt!
The girls went all out to display their baking skills. They made delicious buns and cakes and raised a large sum of money for the school. Well done girls!
Both the staff and students all really enjoyed Wellbeing Week and the variety of fun activities we all partook in: Chalking on the Yard!

Courtesy of AgriAware, we planted potatoes and turnips in small pots in the class in February. Just before the Easter holidays, we decided it was time to replant them in the school garden. We are looking forward to hopefully seeing the final products in June 🙂
The girls played Charades in the class and also participated in a quiz "as Gaeilge" in the hall
We finished up the week by celebrating our own "Lá Glas" and having the traditional céilí in the school hall!
The girls made beautiful flower pictures for all their Mammies!
We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday 2nd March. Each of the girls brought in their favourite book to share with the rest of the class.
Fabulous wooden spoon caricatures were also created!
We celebrated Valentine's day by wearing red and pink!
We were lucky to once again get access to the Hour of Code this year. The girls really enjoyed experimenting and creating their own games!
Room 19 did a wonderful job of celebrating the prayer service for St. Brigid in the hall for the rest of the school.
Afterwards the girls helped Michael plant two apple trees. Michael gave us lots of information about how to tell the final height and width of the trees 🙂
The girls created lovely winter bare trees.
We learned all about Chinese New Year and made cute bunny lanterns to mark the Year of the Rabbit!
Ms. Crowley took the girls out to identify the trees on our school grounds and to collect leaves for printing. They had great fun working out the age of each tree by measuring the circumference of the trunk!
We had a busy October doing lots of fun stuff around Halloween. We made scary spooky spiders!
The girls really demonstrated their creative talents in decorating pumpkins. We had such a variety on display in our classroom!
On the last day before the holidays, the girls came in dressed as all kinds of spooky characters. They outfits were fantastic!
We were very lucky to be taken on a walk of the school grounds with Patrick Hunt from Heritage in Schools. He was so knowledgeable about the flora and passed on so many interesting facts to the children. We all learned so much!
The girls made amazing musical instruments, composed an original piece in groups and then performed for the rest of the class. What a musical bunch!
We had a very busy but fun December in Room 19! Each of the girls presented their own review for our very own Toyshow 🙂
Beautiful Snowmen in pastel colours were done.
and they created imaginative and unique Christmas decorations from clay!
The girls did a wonderful job of performing in the Christmas school musical
and really enjoyed watching the Panto "Hansel and Gretel" online from the Helix and dancing along to the songs!
The girls were very kind in bringing in items for the SVP school hamper Christmas appeal. A huge number of hampers were donated by the students and families of Scoil Bhride. Many thanks to all at home.
And last but certainly not least...
We had a visit from Santa a couple of days before the holidays where he kindly left sweets for the children and some games for the class. Thank you Santa!
The girls learned a rap called "Gran, can you Rap?" and dressed up in their best rapper clothes to perform! The did a great job 🙂
We also learned all about the moon and it's different phases. They reproduced the phases of the moon using OREO biscuits!
