The girls used various painting techniques to create their own image of the Moon They had a really nice time with this art lesson which was a fun way to signify the end of their learning about Moon.
The girls had brilliant fun using Oreos to create the different phases of the Moon. It was a real struggle to get through the lesson with the temptation to eat the Moons !
This week the girls learned all about perspective in SPHE and how to frame their problems in the jigsaw of perspective. This linked with our Art lesson where we learned about positive and negative space and how pictures and photos can look very different based on how you utilise the positive and negative space. They were really enjoyable to make and they look absolutely fantastic!

Passers-by of room 11 would have got quite the shock today as minions, harry potter characters and even a bucket of chicken had taken the place of the students in our class. All of the costumes were excellent as you can see below!
A nice way to learn about the season of Autumn was to go on a nature walk and observe the seasonal changes around us. We then took some leaves and during art we did leaf shading with oil pastels using autumn colours.

In religion this week, we learned about the work of Evie Hone, most famous for her stained glass windows that you would often see in Churches. The girls worked in threes to design their own this week, which they then put on display on the windows in our classroom.

The musical was a fantastic experience for all of the girls. They really enjoyed it!
This Keith Haring inspired Art turned out excellently! Haring's signature style is based on abstract, stylized forms worked into interlocking human figures and tightly arranged patterns. It was such a fun lesson and the final product also turned out very well. Excellent teamwork was on display throughout. A big thank you to Alice who displayed the masterpieces very creatively.
