We created some beautiful Halloween Art of a witch flying over the night sky. The girls had great fun painting, colouring and cutting to make their masterpiece
We had great fun combining both Maths and Art in creating our 2D shape Rockets.

Friday was a very fun day for the children as they got to wear their Halloween costume into school and do lots of nice activities. Here they are wearing their costumes and playing some Halloween Maths games!

The children enjoyed learning about the story of the Gingerbreadman. They availed of their knowledge of recount writing to recreate the story in their own words and their beautiful work is on showcase on our writing wall.
The girls really enjoyed making Penguin Mosaics out of coloured paper. They took quite a long time but through hard work they turned out lovely and are on display in our classroom for visitors to see.

The girls created some lovely Winter silhouettes of winter animals and items using paper and paint. The girls careful cutting, pasting and painting ensured the masterpieces turned out excellent with a lot of teamwork helping everyone to get finished.

The girls were each responsible for their own page. They could design it whatever way they wanted. We used the art technique Tesselation which involves putting together several shapes to create a masterpiece. As well as this, the stars were also completed by the girls outlining their New years resolution for 2022. We hope to achieve them all!

The girls worked together to create a brilliant acrostic poem on the theme of Christmas. It took a lot of time and brainpower but in the end an excellent poem was created.

We explored the story of the Children of Lir in Geography this week. The children created their own storyboards where they had to draw pictures and write sentences which conveyed what happened in the story.

The children had a lovely day getting to dress up in their Valentine's colours and creating cards for their loved ones.

We had great fun in the classroom with Science this week where the girls were learning all about life on the farm. We then had a go at making some butter ourselves and even tasting it afterwards. Here is how it turned out!

A highlight of the school year will definitely have been the visit to the playground. It was a great trip out for the girls and they had a lot of fun as you can see here!

The children had great fun exploring how light creates shadows and how varying the power of the light and how close it is to the object will alter what their shadow looks like. Part 1- The children created shadow animals in groups using their hands. Part 2- The children created shadow puppets and used these to create a drama piece in their groups.

The girls have worked hard during the year and created some lovely pieces of Artwork. Here are our chinese lanterns hanging, our year of the tiger crafts, our Kandinsky Inspired love hearts and finally our Snorkeler Selfies.

We used magnets to discover different items in our classroom that are magnetic or not magnetic. We also explored what materials magnets can work through.

The girls got to take part in lots of fun activities for well-being week. One activity was where they got to design their yard with kind messages.
