Can you guess who is who?
We went on an Autumn walk around our school. We had lots of fun gathering items to put on our nature table for closer inspection. We were also lucky enough to see a real bird's nest. Don't worry, there were no eggs in the nest. It had fallen out of a tree! Our caretaker Michael was very popular that day 🙂
We had lots of fun at Halloween! We dressed up and gave our teacher a big fright!
We did some spooky symmetry for Maths week.
We made pumpkins using paper plates and orange paper. We had a big clean up job afterwards 🙂
We dramatized some spooky scenes too. Our costumes really helped us there!
We love to play Bingo during our Irish lessons. It's a fun way to learn our new words!
We have fun using our counters and work mats to help us with our maths.
We used spaghetti and marshmallows to try and see who could make a structure that could hold up a sheet of paper. It was very hard not to eat our marshmallows! Luckily our teacher had some jellies for us.
We read 'The Children of Lir' this week. We couldn't believe that Aoife was so nasty to the children. How could she not like them? We chose our favourite scene from the story and created pictures. We then used drama to retell the story of 'The Children of Lir'.
We had a very mischievous elf visit our classroom this December. Check out some of the things he got up to!
We created a Christmas display using toilet roll holders. Our elf helped us out with the sleigh.
We enjoyed some Christmas themed yoga.
We created our very own Christmas Carroll Service to decorate the wall outside our classroom.
We learned all about the Emperor Penguin and enjoyed our art lesson too.
We loved performing 'Snow is Falling' for our Scoil Bhríde Christmas video. We have a lot of budding performers in our class. We hope you all enjoyed the video.
We have been very busy learning all about length. We used lots of things like cubes, lollipop sticks and string to measure ourselves and other objects around the classroom. We laughed a lot! We got pretty good at estimating too!
We love to practice our basic facts by playing games. Here we're playing a doubles target game. We know our doubles so well now!
We have been learning about Australia. We loved seeing pictures of all the amazing native animals as well as learning some interesting facts. We explored Australian art and created our own Aboriginal dot painting pictures.
Happy Easter from all of us in Room 13.
