Dear Parent/ Guardian,

As you may be aware the current term of the Board of Management will expire on 30/11/2019 and a new Board of Management takes up office on 01/12/2019. Boards of Management are appointed for a 4-year term and their task is to manage the school on behalf of our Patron, Bishop Denis Nulty. This Board will run from 1st December 2019 - 30th November 2023. Each Board of Management has eight members, two of which are Parent Nominees (one being a mother and one being a father)elected from those parents who currently have children enrolled in the school.

A meeting will be held in the school on Monday 21st October 2109 at 7pm in room 2.

At this meeting:

Nominations will be sought from parents for persons to stand for election as parent nominees on the Board.

Parents may nominate themselves, but the nomination must be seconded by someone who is present at the meeting.

If there is only nominee for either Panel, the nominees will deemed to be elected

If there is more than one nomination for either or both panels, then a secret ballot will be held.

There will be two tellers appointed and the votes will be counted in public

In the event of a tied voted the election shall be decided by a drawing of lots

A strong and effective Board of Management is essential to providing the best possible education for your child. The parent voice is a very important one on this board and I look forward to seeing as many as possible of you at this meeting.
