Scoil Bhríde has received the following notification from Dr. Gary Collins and Dr. Julie Connolly, HSE Primary Care Psychology Service, Kildare and West Wicklow.

We are delighted to announce that we are commencing our Parents Plus parenting courses for Kildare and West Wicklow in 2017.  These are evidence-based parenting courses that promote effective communication and positive relationships in families with children of all ages.

The first one that we have scheduled is the Parents Plus Adolescent Programme, which will be an 8 week course taking place every Friday morning from 3rd February to 7th April in NEWBRIDGE PRIMAY CARE CENTRE from 10 am to 12.30 pm.  It will be facilitated by myself and Julie Connolly.   I have attached the flyer / poster for this specific course.  Parents need to contact us at the number on the flyer attached to discuss booking a place.

Please encourage any parents of adolescents whom you feel would benefit from attending to contact us to discuss the course further.  There are no catchment area restrictions at present to anyone wishing to attend.

There will be further details sent around soon on the Children’s programme for 6-11 year olds and the Early Years programme for under 6 year olds.  We also plan to develop an Expression of Interest form so that parents across the region can inform us directly on an ongoing basis about what Parents Plus programmes may be required and the preferred locations for them to be delivered when possible.
