Last Friday, the 28th February, I spoke to all classes about the importance of washing their hands correctly. We discussed washing our hands for 20 seconds or the length it takes to sing Happy Birthday twice.
The Junior classes were shown a you tube link – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBD1njKp7Cw to a song which shows them how to wash their hands correctly. Posters are on display in all bathrooms showing the children how to wash their hands.
The children can bring in hand sanitiser if they wish but we have been advised that soap and water is sufficient by the HSE.
The children were advised to bring in a packet of tissues and to keep them on their desk. All tissues once used must be put in the bin.
