Scoil Bhride Clane Yearbook 2016

Dear Parents,

We are pleased to report that we have settled into our new extension and refurbished school and we are sure that you are hearing the same positive reports from the young ladies at home. Our halls, corridors and classes are filled, on a daily basis, with the excited buzz of happy children.

You will recall that Deirdre wrote to you previously explaining the challenges we faced in refurbishing the older part of our school, taking it to the same standard as our new building and ensuring that all our ladies are enjoying the same facilities. As Deirdre mentioned in the earlier letter, we are also working to tight budgets running a much larger school with no increase in the Capitation Grant from the Department of Education.

We have managed to fund €30,000 of the original €60,000 refurbishment costs from parent donations and support. The remaining €30,000 had to be borrowed from the bank. In order to reinstate our finances, we plan to pay back this loan as quickly as possible. To do this, we are proposing to publish a Year Book in November 2016. This Year Book will contain photos and contributions from all of the classes in the school, interviews with existing and past pupils and advertising space for local businesses.

I would like to take this opportunity to ask our parent body for support in this undertaking in any of the following ways:

  1. Production of the Year Book – Editorial, Graphic Design, Printing, Photography, etc.
  2. Advertising Campaign – We want to ensure that all the local businesses and friends of the school have the option to be part of this exciting project.
  3. Local Businesses- If there is a business that you feel would like to be associated with this project please complete and return the attached form to the school.

To communicate your desire to be involved in this exciting project please:

Your support is greatly appreciated.
